Marking all over storybooks and on walls is where it started for me as a young artist.  Self expression was encouraged because art and craft was an integral part of my family life.

The beauty of nature; the majestic mountains,  and the diversity of wildlife inspired me to delve into environmental sciences to seek ways of preserving it. After university, art found its way back into my life. I became involved in painting, often focusing on flowers, birds and landscapes, using oils and acrylics.

My interest in jewellery making evolved from searching for the ideal accessory to complement any outfit. I began to explore the possibilities of papier mache, wire, beads, sea glass and other found and natural materials to create jewellery.

Presently I gravitate to various textures, colours and media while stretching my imagination to make two and three dimensional pieces.  I invite you to share the journey….as Mira Imagines
